Choreographer Jeong Cheol-in started with his first choreography <Free Fall> in 2014 and has been continuing his choreography activities such as <Flight>, <0g>, <Übermensch>, <Your Signs>, and <Mobility>. He sees the world where we live as art, draws inspiration from it and creates works. |
| 무용단 소개 | 2016년 정철인의 안무가에 의해 창단된 멜랑콜리 댄스컴퍼니는 우리가 사는 세상 그 자체를 예술로 바라보며 다양한 관객이 공감할 수 있는 시간을 만들어간다. 작품 <비행>, <0g>, <초인>, <당신의 징후>, <모빌리티> 등 인간의 삶을 주제로 속도와 리듬감, 무게감을 통한 변주를 인간사와 현상에 대한 통찰로 메시지를 담아낸다. 멜랑콜리댄스컴퍼니는 현시대의 멜랑콜리한 감정을 고스란히 수용하며 예술을 통해 신체 언어의 확장, 한계를 극복하여 미래와 이상으로의 도달을 보여준다. Founded in 2016 by choreographer Cheolin Jeong, Melancholy Dance Company provides experience for various audiences to sympathize by looking at the world we live in itself as art. The works <Aviation>, <0g>, <Ubermensch>, <Your Symptoms>, and <Mobility> are themes of human life, and variations through speed, rhythm, and weight convey messages through insight into human history and phenomena. Melancholy Dance Company fully embraces the melancholic emotions of the present age and shows the arrival of the future and the ideal by overcoming the limitations and expansion of body language through art. |
| 작품소개 | 작품 제목인 <초인, Ubermensch>은 니체의 답변처럼 살아가는 주체인 ‘초인’의 개념에서 가져 왔으며 이를 통해 우리 현대인들이 걸어가야 할 길이 무엇인지에 대해 질문 하고자 한다. 초인, 즉 자신의 의지에 의해 자기 극복을 시도하는 인간상을 현대인의 모습에 대입하여 인간이 지닌 의지의 힘과 그로 인한 진정한 자유로움에 대해 재고찰 하고자 한다. The title of the work <Übermensch> is taken from the concept of 'superhero', which is a living subject like Nietzsche's answer, and through this, I would like to ask what our modern people should walk on. We intend to reconsider the power of will and the true freedom of human beings by substituting the positive meaning of superman, that is, a human who attempts to self-overcome by his will. |
